This was a very good experience for me but I feel that a few
things could of went better .
I feel that the producer didn’t do anything in this
production, as camera and sound I felt that I was the only one stepping up to do
the job, the client was contacting me via email to give the dates of the bands
gig and I was getting contacted by the crew wondering were the location was
which they wouldn’t of missed if they had of attended the client meetings.
I feel there could
have been better communication with in this group, as half of the crew did not
know that we were filming on The 13th April in a pub in Ballyclare until the
week before.
Everyone thought after filming that there job was done but
they forgot about the edit and there was no editor in the group, however the
director stepped up to the plate and took on the role as editor. This again was
due to the lack of communication.
I feel that the client could of gave us a better set list of
the songs and which order they went in. The group knew what songs needed to be
recorded they were:
What’s Going on
Brute Force and Ignorance
Messin’ With the Kid
Bullfrog Blues
We knew the band was opening with What’s Going On and the
client said that he would say the names of the songs before the song so we
would know which song to record but this never happened and we had to record a
2 hour set. This makes it hard for the editor to do as they have to go through
the footage and pick out the right songs.
